Background The Courts Bankruptcy2008™ |
ECF Background Information More than half the Bankruptcy Courts are already "live" on ECF. With few exceptions, the remainder are currently undergoing the data conversion and implementation process. Bankruptcy2008™ is the leader in electronic filing. It has been used in all of the prototype ECF districts since the experimentation began in 1996. As early as 1992, New Hope Software was involved in ECF experiments ranging from ASCII filings to EDI (Electronic Data Interchange). Bankruptcy2000-2008 was selected by the court to help develop a next generation file format that will not only eliminate entry errors, but reduce the time attorneys spend uploading and docketing to less than one minute. References Here are links to information provided by the prototype courts and the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts. If you want to know more about ECF, these are comprehensive jumping off points.
